Complex, Experience.Monks
2022
ComplexLand 2.0 expanded the virtual festival into a more connected and interactive platform, evolving the experience beyond a digital marketplace into a persistent social environment. Building on the original framework, the project introduced a redesigned world, customizable avatars, multiplayer interactions, collectible mechanics, and private social spaces, creating a system that encouraged exploration, participation, and community. The experience combined live programming, commerce, and gameplay into a cohesive digital ecosystem that reinterpreted the energy of a physical event.
As part of the design team, I contributed to the evolution of the platform's visual language, helping translate the new creative direction across environments, interface elements, and in-world experiences. Working within an established design system, I developed assets that supported navigation, interaction, and gameplay while ensuring consistency across the platform's expanding set of features. My role focused on creating a cohesive experience that balanced visual expression with usability, allowing new mechanics and social interactions to feel like a natural extension of the world.
